Anyone Ever Use A Electric Water Heater As A Boiler?

I have radiant in-floor heat throughout my house(3000sq ft) that is currently being heated with an outdoor wood boiler. I was wondering if it is possible to use a hot water heater as a boiler. What would we need? Circulator pump etc… Also do what do you think the montly cost to heat the house would cost?

I wouldnt use a standard resivoir water heater, 50 gal, 40gal, ect. It will have to have a tankless water heater, which is extremly efficet any way. Endless hot water. They turn around rate for temp loss is incredible as well. Depnding on what sate your in, a tankless water heater verses boiler is twice as efficent. I put them in all the time. Also, with this route, you wont need anything else. You just have to plumb it right. Good luck with that! Merry Christmas

Don’t bother, It won’t recover the temp fast enought.
