Attention Plumbers – Any Advice On Installing A Lowboy 30 Gallon Water Heater Inside A Cabinet/vanity?
I have extremely limited space – the water heater has to fit in a small corner underneath a vanity in my bathroom. Any suggestions on fitting the pipes/everything in such small space?

30 Gallon lowboy is 30″ high by 22″ diameter. So this is the minimun size opening that you need. Add another 2″ for piping on top. Come off the nipples with elbows and turn directly to the side. Turn down and make the connections. Cpvc or pex can be dirrect connected. Use unions for copper, so that you do not have to use a torch in a tight space.

often that is a challenge
with the heaters getting thicker insulation they do get tighter to work with so I would suggest preping the space for future heater change outs
I assume this is electric
