If you rinse your hair with cold water after shampoing and conditioning will it really make your hair better?

People say that it will be healthier or it will shine more or something. I use hot water the whole shower and at the end after I rinse out my conditioner I rinse with a final bit of cold water. Am I doing anything for my hair or am I just wasting my time??
I have all natural blonde hair that is a past my shoulders and I just got it cut shorter becuase I had fried it with hair straightner. I’ve never dyed it though.

Its true that if you use cold water that your hair will be shinier. When you use hot water it sucks the moisture out of your hair because the heat looks for a source of water and takes the water from your hair.

yea the cold water helps the conditioner set in your hair more so it makes your hair shine more.

The cold water at the end of the shower makes your hair shinier, but doesn’t help strengthen it or anything. Still, I do this because of the added shine.

Rinsing with cold water definitly is bineficial. if you have curly hair, it really defines your curls and straight hair it really does give it a little extra shine and smoothness, plus it gives you healthier hair.

if you dye your hair it is better to use cool water because hot water opens up the hair pores and the color will fade faster.

If you shampoo your scalp and not your ends then rinse with warm water it will help open up your hair cuticles

If you condition and leave it on for 2-4 mintues, use wide tooth comb to remove tangels and prevent split ends then rinse with super cold water, it will hel seal hair cuticles for smoother shinier hair.
