    You should have a water cut off valve somewhere in your home, ours is in our bathroom down behind the toilet. If you don’t have one go shut the water off at the meter. Go to the hardware store and buy a water shut off valve.

    No, there is not a device that cuts it off automatically. It would have to react to the change in water pressure to work. The problem is, when you run water, the pressure drops, just like a leak

    Yes, there are pan alarms that when they get wet they shut off the water to the water heater or the electricity if it is used on a heating unit. I cannot remember the name of the product right now but get on the net, I bet you will find it. It is a solenoid valve with a moisture detector to operate the valve. Best of luck

    no i wish there was on i work maintenance at a 600 unit apts complex if there where such a item then it would save lots of money in water damage. but they do make a tank-less water heater that has a never ending supply of hot water they are expensive
