The Pilot Light Goes Out On My Water Heater Every Time Is Is Windy Outside? The Heater Is Upstairs Please Help?
The vent pipe is either loose or disconnected, or the covers are off or improperly installed where you light the pilot, or the vent is not tall enough above the roof. It should at least be 3 feet above the roof.

check for a air leak its pulling air into the heater blowing the Pilot light out or your getting a down draft

The wind is blowing through your vent pipe. Contact a plumber and find out about putting on a vented cap.
