Turning Down Gas Water Heater?
Please settle this: my husband turns our water heater down every day that we leave the house. then turns it back on again the next morning for showers. I could see turning it way down if we go away for the weekend, but not every day! isn’t it costing more to heat up the water every day?

Yes your right.. if you have a newer hot water tank it should be insulated enough not to be running all day long.. it takes less energy to heat up warm water than a full tank of cold..

do you have a fiberglass blanket wrapped around the hot water tank??
