What Could Be Wrong With My Electric Water Heater?

Here lately my water heater has been acting up. The water pressure from the hot water is erratic and it kept gradually getting colder. Now the hot water in my house is barely warmer than my cold water. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it?

    sounds like your heating element is out. first check the thermostat to see if the reset button needs to be rest. reset it and if this does not work you probaly have a bad heating element
