What Is The Best Water Softener Product Out There?

I’m planning to purchase a water softener for my new place. So far I only found Culligan and Home Depo carries it. My friend uses Culligan. I’m just wondering if anyone out there can recommend any other brands and how to tell which is better. Thanks in advance.

I have owned many different water softener systems and own Rayne now which I find to be the best one. It is completely automatic, has a backup battery in case of power failures or brown outs, it runs on potassium and it is highly energy efficient. I’ve been disappointed with the other brands mostly because I’ve had things go wrong with them out of warranty and found repairs not to be worth it when I could purchase a new system for a few dollars more. The Rayne system has a lifetime warranty and when my backflow valve failed and caused the bladder in the softener to fail, they covered the new bladder no cost even though something else caused the failure. That alone saved me buying another new softener.
