1) Types of Problems in Science and Engineering are recommended.
2) Provide reliable sources/references.
2) If there are no problems at all with a Water Treatment Plant, please do state in what area should be this Plant to IMPROVE on. Be specific (Also in the category of Science and Engineering).
4) Even if there are problems that are NOT related with Science and Engineering, do still proceed with your own type of answers.

During the desigh phase of the project, the ability to anticapate future needs is the biggest problem. Adding to an existing plant at a later date can be done but at what cost? Many cities build a plant without having a plan for expansion. The balance between inbound flow, treatment capacity and storage must be dead on for the plant to be effecient. The newer plants are almost completly automated.
