Where To Throw The Water Heater Tank?

Someone threw a water heater tank in between my house and the next door neighbor. The neighbor then pushed it further over on my side. What can I do? And where can I bring this, to throw it out? Would I have to pay a fee to throw it out as well?

In our current economy there are a lot of people collecting scrap metal and cashing it in. leave it where they can pick it up to cash in on it and your problems are over. We have a trash day where we put our trash at the curb every Sunday and they pick it up every Monday morning. During that time frame we have a lot of scrap collectors looking for metal and they clean up the neighborhood.

Look in the Classified Section of the newspaper for people who collect scrap metal. I have gotten rid of old appliances a bunch of times that way. They will come pick up your item and haul it away for free, then they will make a little cash off the scrap. Make sure that they will take a water heater though.
If that doesn’t work, see if your local trash dept. will make a special pick up for it.
    Good Luck!

Check with your local EPA office and city health dept and make sure her violation is on the record. Then be the bigger person and call a trash hauler from your paper and get rid of it. A civil relationship is worth more than the cost of rubbish pick up,

I’d put it in my garage until my neighbor was trying to sell his house, then, I’d drag it and any other garbage I could into my front yard and leave there. That’d show the jerk.

Most cities have bulk pickup, if you haven’t seen this, then call your trash company and explain, worst case, take it to the dump.

call your refusage and tell them that you want them to p/u the water heater. If it is like my town you will possibly have 2 big p/us. Make a planter out of it.

In lots of cities, if you leave it overnight at the curb, a metal/ trash collector will pick it up.

different cities have different laws concerning garbage.( our town picks up ‘household’ waste for free on thursdays..) call up your garbage company or your city health dept and ask what they do with those things.
